Lolita Nation (1987)

Empiezo el 2012 en uno de los puntos que más me gustaron del año pasado: la revisión de la discografía de los Game Theory. Si habéis seguido la primera entrega, poco os puedo añadir que no hayáis comprobado ya acerca de la capacidad compositiva de Scott Miller. Y es en este doble Lolita Nation donde el grupo se desarrolla hasta el máximo. Un disco conceptual? no sé, quizás le falta prensa entre los entendidos….Un disco pop? se sale de los márgenes….Un disco difícil? tampoco. Simplemente una inspiradísima colección de postales multicolor que van pasando ante nuestros ojos y que provocan una marcada sensación de fantástico desconcierto .

Two steps from the middle ages (1988)

Con este disco, una vuelta a los orígenes más melódicos representados por el Big Shot Chronicles, se cierra la discografía de estos grandes olvidados del Paisley Underground. Con cuatro discos difícilmente discutibles, Miller clausuró etapa y en los noventa inició otro proyecto llamado The Loud Family cuyos réditos artísticos, aunque notables, no llegaron a la de su época de la década anterior . Los réditos de  ventas siguieron siendo igual de escasos, así que para enmendar este imperdonable olvido a alguien se le podría ocurrir reeditar la discografía de uno de los mejores alquimistas pop americanos de los años ochenta…
